ABOUT US
Welcome to Expression School of Ballet and Theatre Arts, Oxford. We are a brand new dancing school offering excellent tuition in Ballet, Tap and Modern dance. We offer classes for children aged 2½ upwards at venues in Headington and West Oxford. We aim to give every child the opportunity to develop
self-confidence, poise, co-ordination and musicality in a fun, creative yet highly professional environment. As our children grow they will have the opportunity to learn other dance forms, take classes in singing and drama and participate in performances and competitions. At Expression we are committed to promoting the health benefits of dance and design our classes to enrich the body and mind.
All our teachers are experienced, qualified professionals teaching the RAD and ISTD syllabuses. We ensure all staff have CRB clearance and take child protection, health and safety very seriously.
For senior students we currently offer private tuition in ISTD and RAD higher graded and major examinations, as well as support and training towards ISTD teaching qualifications.

NEW WEST OXFORD VENUE
We have a wonderful new home for our West Oxford classes to accomodate our growing school. The majority of our West Oxford classes will now be held at The Rosary Room, Our Lady Of The Rosary, Botley. See our locations page for further details.

THE NUTCRACKER
We are delighted to announce we have secured a master class with professional dancer Michael Berkin. Michael is a former head boy of The Royal Ballet School where he trained for eight years. During his professional career he has danced with Birmingham Royal Ballet, Royal New Zealand Ballet, Ballet Ireland and Northern Ballet Theatre. The classes will be held on Tuesday 5th January for all our students from the age of five upwards. They will have the opportunity to learn about The Nutcracker ballet, learn repertoire from the ballet as well as gaining an insight into the life of a professional ballet dancer. As a special treat we are hosting a visit to Oxford's New Theatre to watch the Russian State Ballet of Siberia perform The Nutcracker the following week.
